Live Well in Braunton is currently working with young people, schools and various local organisations, to understand and address the challenges that young people face living in Braunton.
We are currently forming a Youth Forum to enable young people to have a voice in their community.

Would you like to get out in nature and do something positive for your community? The North Devon Employment Hub and the National Trust have teamed up to bring you a fantastic opportunity to volunteer at Woolacombe beach.
You could take part in:
Studies have shown that being in nature and volunteering are two of the best things that you can do for your mental health.
There will be FREE transport From Barnstaple to Woolacombe and home again. The project will be running every Wednesday over the winter. If you would like to know more, please come along to our talk at the Employment Hub.

Come join us at Barnstaple Library for a fun and informative event all about managing your finances. Learn practical tips and tricks to help you go from bodging your budget to mastering your money like a pro. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to level up your financial game!
This will be a fun session using a Navigate’s bespoke board game, Bodgit to Budget as the focus of the workshop. There will also be an exciting 'taste test' to see if you can tell the difference between well-known brands and own brands.
The is a joint venture between the North Devon Employment Hub and Navigate charity. This is the first event in our “how to be a good tenant” course.

This is the second workshop is out series of “How to be a good tenant”. This is a joint venture between the North Devon Employment Hub and Navigate Charity. This session will focus on:
· Skills, knowledge and experience for self-promotion
· Transferable skills
· Body Language
· First impressions
· CV and cover letter writing
· How to apply for jobs.
Ask for Jake is a local charity raising awareness of suicide prevention and includes all challenges including self-harming, eating and behaviour issues, drug and alcohol dependency and any other issue which may begin to manifest in young people.

The Tarka Valley railway, is a Torrington based Heritage Railway . our goal is to rebuild the five and a half mile track back to Bideford. So far we have restored the station platform, laid 360 yards of track, the coal dock and sidings in the station yard have also been restored. our next goal is and further 300 yard extension and the building of a halt. we are open every Thursday and one Saturday a month.
“Our railway relies on volunteers of all ages. Some help regularly others occasionally. Some have previous experience but many do not. It’s not all track laying work! There is woodworking, metalworking, painting, store-keeping, gardening working in our shop, as well as behind the scenes work such as fundraising, advertising and marketing. Whatever your skills there will be an opportunity to use it at Tarka Valley Railway”.

Barnstaple Youth House is a three storey property on Market Street, Barnstaple. Its purpose is the provide a safe, secure and neutral meeting place for Youth related organisations and people.
It is run by a volunteer committee, and we are always on the lookout for fresh volunteers to bring new ideas to the group, and help in the various projects that we initiate.
If you have organisational skills, and are willing to lend a hand on promoting the group, helping with simple decorating, and developing from ideas to practical outcomes, then we would like to hear from you.
