Read What Our Walkers Have to Say!

"I really enjoy it and wish it was weekly, as it makes you get out and walk. If I was on my own, then wouldn’t go out."

"I like how we have built up a little community and know there is always someone available to chat with to!"

"I walk a lot more when walks are not on and have learnt that I am able to walk further than I thought so I use my car less."

"I enjoy the chance of cuppa and chat after as don’t get the chance to speak to others most of the time."

"I feel part of something, I live in Ilfracombe and the group are so friendly and I have joined other groups here as people are friendly."

"I like having different walk leaders, as they get to know the group and show us different parts of Braunton."

"I have learnt that if I take my time, I can go longer, and it is ok to stop as I can take in where we are, especially if have wildlife or flowers around."

"I have lost nearly 2 stone since I started walking as I am now more active."

"For the first time in ages, I am part of a group rather than someone in a mobility scooter."

"I like that there are volunteers available, who if I'm struggling, can help or come with me if need to cut walk short."

"I joined the Men’s Shed, as more confident, and met Roger during one of the walks. I like the fact that we are told about groups as we walk."
